"2nd Annual Show of Hearts"***THIS IS THE OFFICIAL CALL FOR ART***The materials:Laser cut hearts (provided by us, c/o Bellevue Fine Art Reproduction)Ribbon for hanging (provided by us)Your imagination (be creative and have fun!)The challenge:Create your own unique heart(s)!(Limit of 2 heart ornaments per artist until we can have more laser cut.)
There are two shapes, an anatomical heart and a graphic heart. You may use one or both of the original heart ornaments as the base of your creation, or create entirely new heart-themed works of art!

On or before Wednesday, 4 February at Trabant in Pioneer Square by 6pm

Trabant has a sign up sheet for your name, contact info, and the # of hearts you're making. When you bring your pieces in, please attach your name, title, and price (if for sale; consider Trabant's 40% cut). Trabant has a new artist contract for 2015, so you will be asked to fill one out when you drop off your finished pieces.
If you are not a Seattle local, you are still welcome to participate! Just message one of us with your name and address, and we will send the hearts to you! Once they're decorated, just send them back to us by February 4th, and we'll include you in the show!

The official Call For Art for the 2nd Annual "Singular/Similar Solstice!"Everyone knows that no two snowflakes are alike... but what if they all started as the same shape, and deviated independently?The challenge:Create your own unique snowflake! Decorate it any way you like, paint it, sculpt it, collage on it, bedazzle it, incorporate it into a larger piece, cut it up - your imagination is the limit!The materials:Wooden laser cut snowflakes (provided by SAC, courtesy of Bellevue Fine Art Reproduction)Ribbon for hanging (provided by SAC)***Since it's only 3 weeks before the show opening, we are also opening the Call to other winter and holiday themed art! Art must arrive ready to hang, with title, price, and contact info attached.***
Laser cut snowflakes are available starting Friday the 14th! You can pick them up directly from Braden as well as at Trabant in Pioneer Square. Trabant has a sign up sheet for your name, contact info, and the # of snowflakes/art pieces you're making.
Drop off deadline: Wednesday, 3 December by 6pm, either at Trabant in Pioneer Square, or you can arrange a pick-up with Braden.
Trabant takes a 40% commission, so consider your pricing accordingly.

Do you like Nicolas Cage? Do you like art? Have you always, secretly,
in the deepest darkest part of your subconscious heart of hearts really
wanted to create an artistic tribute to one of the coolest actors
around? We thought so! That's why you're invited to be a part of this
spectacular event!

What:
An artistic masterpiece commemorating one of your favourite Nicolas
Cage moments from a movie, from real life, from your fantasies... we
don't care, we just want to put it on display!

The snowflake show from December was so much fun that
we've decided to do another ornament exhibit for Valentine's month!

There will be two shapes, an anatomical heart and a graphic heart. The
only stipulation is that you use one or both of the original heart
ornaments as the base of your creation, and that they can hang from a
ribbon on a wall so that we can display them at the 1st Thursday Art
Walk. (This doesn't mean your design has to be 1-sided or even flat;
feel free to 360 it!)
