Sara Parrett is an artist, designer, and aspiring comic book creator. Currently she is working on various personal projects and commissions.

Her inspirations include: Art Nouveau (specifically Alphonse Mucha), Adam Hughes, Amy Reeder, Claire Hummel, Charles Vess, Salvador Dali, and many others both past and present. She works in both traditional and digital mediums.

"I create personal, intimate, edgy and cute artwork; I want to inspire discussion, to form connections, and to respond to all this pain and beauty that we live in... to share all these human feelings, and to inspire compassion and humility.

"I believe in visual art’s power to communicate the nuances that we haven’t yet learned in words. I believe in the imperfect, the cracked, the broken, the aging – the quiet beauty that is so subtle that it could easily be overlooked, but when noticed, stops time. I crave a simpler, quieter way of life, a more accepting attitude towards existence, and I know we all crave beauty; our definition of beauty needs only to be pried a little wider. The stains in our favorite teacups – the wrinkles around our eyes – the uneven stitches in a hand-knit quilt, these are full of the energy of age, the power of being loved over and over again. A reclaiming of heritage is in order in a world where it’s easier to throw away than to mend. An embracing of our “flaws” is in order, to be kinder to ourselves, and to be kinder to the world."

Stasia Burrington was born in Texas, raised in Montana and now lives in SeaTac with her favorite man and two cats. She's a full time artist, doing custom work and nurturing her little online shop. You can find her most often at home, coffee-cup ever present, working while piled under blankets and furtively watching sci-fi in the background. 

At times she's aspired to be: an astronaut, magician, Lara-Croft type action-adventurer, and a children's book illustrator. One of which is actually now the case!

Braden Duncan (a.k.a. ClockworkArt). Artist & curator. Watercolour & oil. Steampunk & circuitry. She is inspired by the intricate elegance created by the convergence of biological and mechanical elements, and fascinated by the effects of transformative technologies on contemporary society. She aims to take over the world with the strange and the adorable.

Her current bodies of work focus on kittens, birds, bunnies & bugs augmented with mechanical & pop culture accoutrement.

Braden is the co-founder of the Seattle Arts Coalition, writer of Art Scene Seattle, curator of Steamposium's Artist Alley, and a member of the international Strange Dreams Surreal Artist Collective. She lives and works in Seattle and regularly assists with curating & art installation for a number of galleries around the Northwest. She can usually be found covered in oil paint, watercolour, engine grease, and cat hair.

As some of you know, Braden Duncan, the Seattle Art Coalition's Director of Artist Relations currently curates for Otherworlds in Edmonds, the Georgetown Liquor Company in Georgetown, and Seattle's Steamposium Steampunk convention. 

In fun & exciting news, Braden has accepted a co-curating role with Laurie of Ghost Gallery to coordinate art exhibitions for Rocco's Lounge & Stylus Salon in Belltown and Saint John's Bar in Capitol Hill. She has also taken over as the official curator for Urban Light Studios in Greenwood!

Krissy Downing has honed a unique brand of surrealism, pushing the envelope to redefine the genre with her self-defined stream-of-consciousness approach. Each composition is loosely mapped, free from censor and directive introspection, birthing a pure organic foundation of subconscious aesthetic ideals and then repeatedly interpreted and molded until its inherent narrative is revealed.

"I revel in the moments that hover between asleep and awake, when what’s left of dreams is winding its way out the dimly grayed space where our heads lay and just before all the colors bleed from our mystical beings, metamorphosing selves and physics defied to reveal lucidity. These moments are a suspension of sensory perception (and consequent self-awareness) that lets the brain continue forming images, sounds, tactile journeys the same seemingly random way dreams do. My work is born from these moments."
